Dear Editor,

If those among us who promise to conduct themselves with the highest standard of morality when seeking elected office, would approach Guyana’s elections with decency, there would be no need for more ‘security‘ within the system. No matter what improved systems are put in place, those hell bent on cheating the system will always be looking for ways to get their own way.

Perhaps, the area that needs more tightening, is the selection of those who put themselves forward to represent us and also those who are trusted to ensure that fairness prevails regardless of any hurdles. One Guyana will be more attainable if we can be honest, with and for each other, and with ourselves too.
