Dear Editor,

I opted to receive my NIS and Old Age Pension via my bank account to avoid Post Office lines and crowds to change my vouchers. It appears that was a “BIG MISTAKE”.

With the pension vouchers I would change whenever I need cash but with direct deposit I am at the mercy of the NIS and Ministry of Social Security. It appears that these two entities don’t have an active schedule to deposit pensioner’s fund, (NIS is worse than AOP). If they did, direct deposit pensioners would not have to hope that someone will remember to transfer the funds.

I regret changing from vouchers to direct deposit. Yesterday, being the 16th January and I am still waiting for my pension,
